Southern Light Electrical was founded on a simple belief: electrical work should be safe, tidy, transparent and completed with pride. Every wire pulled and every weld laid should reflect a team that cares — about the client, the property and the person who lives or works in it.
We started as a small domestic team taking on rewires and DB board upgrades one home at a time. Word travelled quickly — first to neighbours, then to estate agents preparing houses for sale, then to business owners who wanted the same standard on their premises.
Today, we are a full-service contractor covering domestic installations, commercial fit-outs, industrial power systems, planned maintenance, solar and battery backup, standby generators and precision welding — all backed by qualified artisans, insured work and clear communication.

Quality
We install to SANS 10142-1 and, where relevant, IEC 60204-1. We use quality-brand components (Schneider, ACDC, CBI, Sunsynk, Pylontech) and we test every circuit before we sign it off. If it isn't right, we don't leave the site.
Safety
Our team works with the correct PPE, hot-work permits and lock-out/tag-out procedures on every relevant site. We issue valid Certificates of Compliance and keep photographic records for insurers and property files.
Customer satisfaction
You get a written quote before we start, daily updates while we work, and a walk-through when we finish. Our 12-month workmanship guarantee means that if anything we installed misbehaves, we come back — free of charge.
